My Personal Experience of Receiving Watchman Nee & Witness Lee's Ministry, Anna Chang

I got saved and baptized in 1986. Eventually, I contacted the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. Their ministry opened the Bible to me, revealing the divine truths to me. Because of this ministry, I have come to see how rich and all-inclusive Christ wants to be to me. This causes me to love Christ and eagerly want to experience Him more. He (Christ) is my light, my life, and my Bridegroom. He is the tree of life and the fountain of the living water of life. Most preciously He became the life-giving Spirit after His resurrection and this makes all my spiritual experience possible. Now, He as the Spirit lives in my spirit, and I can enjoy Him every moment. The more I enjoy His name (Oh! Lord Jesus), the more I contact Him and allow Him to nourish and cherish me. I really love this wonderful person-Jesus Christ. When I trace it back, I am full of thanks to the Lord for the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee.

Through their ministry, I have also seen the importance of the Church in the New Testament. Now I realize that the Church is God's desire and He longs to gain His Body, the Church, for His expression and glorification. The Church is His organic Body which will become His Bride when He comes back. Thank the Lord I could have part in God's wonderful plan.

Christ, the Tree of Life & the River of Life

I am a person who loves doing. After I received the Lord, my desire was to work for God. Gradually, I realized that although I was doing many things for God, inwardly I was still hungry and thirsty. Through the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, I began to see that God's desire for us is not to do many things for Him but to receive His life by eating and drinking Jesus. In the book of Genesis, I saw that there is the tree of life and the river. In the last book of the Bible, Revelation, it is still the story of these two things. Christ is the very Tree of Life and the River of Life. The fruits of the tree of life are to be enjoyed. The more I eat of Him as the tree of life, His life nourishes me and cause me to grow. On the other hand, He as the river of water of life flows into me to quench my thirst, satisfying me. Although I thought I needed to serve God with many outward doings, my real need was to have Christ as the tree of life and the river of life supplying and nourishing me. Only when I am filled with the life of Christ am I empowered and enabled to do the real work of God. Spontaneously, I can live Christ and magnify Him.

The writings of Witness Lee and Watchman Nee have helped to change my concept from doing to living. Because of such a change in my concept, there is a wonderful change in my life. Now I am no longer one who cried, ``to will is present with me, but to work out the good is not.''(Romans 7:15) Rather, I am one of `` those who wash their robes that they may have right to the tree of life.''(Revelation 22:14) Enjoying Christ has now become the secret and the source of strength for my living. Thank the Lord for this!!
